本研究室では、定量的解析によるバイオフィルム形成の理解と、細胞のふるまいの理由(motivation)を解読するため、微生物システムにおける運動性、コミュニケーション、細胞間相互作用の理解を目指しています。

我々は学際的な研究を行っています。具体的には、応用微生物学、ソフトマター物理学、マイクロ流体力学のツールと技術を利用します。さらに、基礎研究と応用研究の両方と、それらのバイオテクノロジーへの応用にも関心を持って研究を進めています。
